Phillip C. Thomas is a co-founder of DOBI Medical Systems and became a member of our Board and the Chief Executive Officer in December 2003. Mr. Thomas had been the Chief Executive Officer and a director of DOBI Medical Systems since December 1999, and for more than one year prior thereto, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Dynamics Imaging, Inc., a corporation from which DOBI Medical Systems acquired its DOBI technology and other non-financial assets. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Thomas has served in a number of public and private high technology senior executive positions. From September 1992 to January 1997, Mr. Thomas was the Chief Executive Officer for Medication Delivery Devices, Inc. ("MDD"), a medical device start-up. MDD was sold to Baxter Healthcare in 1997, four years after its inception. Mr. Thomas received his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and has completed executive development courses at Harvard Business School and Stanford Business School.

Michael R. Jorgensen became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of DOBI Medical Systems in February 2003, and our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in December 2003 following the completion of the reverse merger. In February 1997, he joined AXS-One, Inc., a multinational financial software company, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary and became its Executive Vice President, North America, in March 2001 and Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer in June 2001 until February 2003.

Denis A. O’Connor
joined us as Senior Vice President-Sales and Marketing in December 2003. From July 2000 to May 2003, Mr. O’Connor served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Advanced Imaging Technologies, Inc. From March 1997 to June 2000, Mr. O’Connor was President and Chief Executive Officer of Life Imaging Systems, Inc. Mr. O’Connor received a B.S. degree in computer science and business administration from the City University of New York and an M.B.A. in marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Frank M. Puthoff joined DOBI Medical Systems as General Counsel in February 2003 and became our General Counsel and Secretary in December 2003. Mr. Puthoff was Executive Vice President - Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of ProxyMed, Inc., a healthcare claims electronic transaction public company, from August 1996 to December 2001. From July 1994 to August 1996, he was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Miami Subs Corporation. Prior thereto, he held executive positions with Ground Round Restaurants, Inc., an affiliate of Hanson PLC, PepsiCo, Inc. and Marriott Corporation. He holds a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Borromeo College, a J.D. degree from the University of Toledo, and an M.A. degree from Barry University. He is a licensed attorney in Ohio and the District of Columbia.

Angelo Secci, M.D. joined us in January 2004 as Vice President – Clinical Research. Dr. Secci has worked in clinical research for the past 10 years in various university, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industry settings. Prior to joining us, Dr. Secci served as Senior Associate Director of Clinical Research at Berlex Laboratories in the field of angiogenesis for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Previously, he served as Senior Clinical Scientist at Pfizer, Inc. where he was also involved in the development of an angiogenic product for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Secci served as Research Associate and Technical Director at the South Bay Heart Watch, at the Torrance UCLA Medical Center, where he participated in basic and clinical research projects in the fields of coronary calcium imaging and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Secci received his M.D. degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Rome, Italy.

A. Robert Sohval, PhD. joined us as Vice President – Research and Development in March 2004. Dr. Sohval has worked in the diagnostic imaging industry for more than 25 years and has held executive leadership positions in several private and public companies. Dr. Sohval has been involved in system design and product development of innovative digital radiography detectors, advanced breast imaging systems, and high performance CT scanners, and holds nine patents in medical imaging. He received a B.S. degree and Ph.D. in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.


Note: DOBI Medical Systems became DOBI Medical International, Inc. as a result of the Reverse Public Offering in December of 2003.
