Phillip C. Thomas is Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer. Mr. Thomas has served in a number of public and private
high technology senior executive positions during the last
22 years. Mr. Thomas's most recent medical device start-up
was sold to Baxter Healthcare four years after inception.
He holds a BA from Brigham Young University and has completed
executive development courses at both the Harvard and Stanford
Michael R. Jorgensen is Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jorgensen has served as Chief
Financial Officer of five public and two private companies
for more than 18 years. Most recently, Mr. Jorgensen was the
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
of AXS-One Inc., an AMEX-listed multi-national software products
company, which he joined as CFO in 1997. His public company
experience includes a broad range of industries, including
manufacturing, retail and information technology/software.
Mr. Jorgensen holds an AB degree in Economics from Princeton
University and a Masters degree in Accountancy from New York
University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dale A. Johnson is Group Vice President of Business Development.
Mr. Johnson brings over 19 years of experience in the medical and
biotechnology industry, and during the last 5 years served as president
of a medical communications company. Prior to that, he was a senior
executive in international and domestic marketing at Glaxo, Inc.
where he served as the international marketing manager for both
pharmaceutical and medical products. Dale holds a BA
from Brigham Young University, an MBA in Business Marketing and
an MA in Organizational Development, both from Webster University.
Daniel M. Kaplan is the Controller for DOBI Medical
Systems. Mr. Kaplan is an experienced operations and financial
executive with substantial private and public company experience.
He has previously served as CFO, Controller and in other financial
management positions in a variety of industries and manufacturing
environments over the past 30 years. He has a BA in Business
and Accounting and is a New Jersey licensed Certified Public
Ivan V. Masyukov is Director of Engineering and has
been extensively involved in the development of the DOBI System
technology since 1994. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Masyukov
held several engineering and management positions specializing
in design, development and manufacturing of electronic and
optical instruments. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering
and an MS in Applied Physics and Mathematics, both from the
Moscow Insitute of Physics and Technology.
Eric W. Mueller is Director of Manufacturing and has
over 10 years experience in the field of medical manufacturing
and quality control. His most recent experience included management
in volume manufacturing at Howmedica/Osteonics, a leading
medical device firm.
Frank M. Puthoff is General Counsel and Secretary
of DOBI Medical. Prior to joining DOBI, Mr. Puthoff was Executive
Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Proxy
Med, Inc. (NASDAQ: PILL) from August 1996 to December 2001.
From July 1994 to August 1996, he was Vice President, General
Counsel and Secretary for Miami Subs Corporation (NASDAQ:
SUBS). Between July 1990 and July 1994, he held several executive
positions with Ground Round Restaurants, Inc. (NASDAQ: GRR),
an affiliate of Hanson plc, serving as Senior Vice President
of Franchising, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior thereto,
he served as Division Counsel for PepsiCo, Inc. and held various
legal and executive positions with Pizza Hut, Inc. and Marriott
Corporation, and was in private practice. He holds a B.A.
in Philosophy from St. Charles Borromeo College, an M.A. in
Teaching from Barry University, and a J.D. from the University
of Toledo, and is a licensed attorney in Ohio and the District
Alan W. Rego is Director of Product Development and
has been involved in the field of digital imaging for over
20 years, 9 of those in breast imaging. He most recently served
as Manager for Digital Imaging at Lorad/Trex Medical
(now Hologic). Mr. Rego holds a BS in Engineering from the
University of Massachusetts.
